
Refractive is seeking an early career Freelance Producer or student to take on the mentored position of Network Support Intern with the specific task of assisting with building new partnerships and artists programmes to support the development of Refractive and its associated Film and Digital Artists.
Structure: 3 months part time freelance flexible basis
Fees: £100 per day, 5 days per month (15 days) = £1500
Travel and other Expenses paid as part of the provision.
Timescale: Between 4th November 2024 – 31st January 2025
Location: Based at the Refractive Hub, Storie Street, Paisley and Hybrid as required.

Role Description
To work as part of the Refractive team to deliver the following activities:-
- The Intern role will support the Innovation Producer enable the delivery of the artists support programmes at Refractive. These include the Artists Meet Ups, the Artists bi- monthly Newsletter, the Advanced Skills workshop programmes and the development of the Refractive network and its directory promoting Renfrewshire Film and digital artists.
- The Intern will assist the Refractive Innovation Producer to develop the collaborative exhibition programme for 2025 and develop skills sharing initiatives and exhibition opportunities for Renfrewshire Film and Digital Artists in other parts of the UK.
- To work within the Refractive marketing structures and with the part time Refractive Promoter, to assist with marketing the activities of the Film and Digital sector locally and it’s artists to the wider public in Renfrewshire and Nationally.
- The Intern will support delivery of monitoring and evaluation procedures for the artists meetings, collaborations and events then collate and assist with reporting on the collected data.
- The Network Support Intern will receive mentoring and support from the Refractive Innovation Producer.

Education | Be studying or have a Degree in a related Creative Industries subject and / or related equivalent industry experience of working in film, photography, Gaming and digital art genres. | Evidence of continuous professional development.

Relevant Experience | The intern should have an interest or be developing practice in film, projection mapping photography, gaming and Digital art.
Current experience of creating and updating web content, Social Media delivery across Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Linked-in etc |
Have a wide knowledge of film and Digital arts practice in the UK.
