Join Refractive and Johnstone Textile Space for a screening On Weaving by Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival’s Artists and Residence Luke Fowler and Corin Sworn. The film screening will take place at Johnstone Textile Space on Saturday 11th October, 5pm (doors from 4.30pm).

Alchemy Film and Moving Image artists in residence Luke Fowler and Corin Sworn weave together a 16mm tapestry of film and photography in response to the legacies of innovative textile artists Bernat and Margaret Klein and their modernist Scottish Borders home.

Eddie Doherty is a modest and humble man who, at the age of 84, still carries on the tradition of hand weaving the Donegal Tweed fabrics at his small shop in Ardara, Co. Donegal, Ireland.
