Documentary Making Workshops

Are you interested in making a documentary film? Refractive are offering you the opportunity to take part in a series of exploratory workshops with award winning Television and Film Director Kenny Glanaan. The project is designed to give you the tools to make your own documentary.
Over the next 11 months the workshops will provide a space to explore, experiment, and create a short documentary in any style or form you choose. You will learn how to light, shoot and edit to a professional standard, while exploring how to structure your film and engage the audience, using your own voice and experience as a starting point.
Don’t worry if you have no experience or only some experience, everyone is welcome. We will provide a couple of introductory workshops to orientate everyone, and the prompt to get you started. The workshops will be a voyage of discovery, in which we will learn together, the content curated around the needs and interests of the group as the ideas evolve and the projects emerge.
All we require of you is your curiosity and commitment to making a documentary film, and the stories you have always wanted to tell.
Introductory workshops on Thursday 22 January at 7pm and repeated on Saturday January 24th At 10.30am
At the Refractive Hub, Witherspoon Building, Storie Street, Paisley, PA12AR
