These are some of the main digital creative tools I am exploring during the residency.
Resolume Arena – the mainstay software I use in my live video/vj work because it is reliable and it works – media server with full projection/LED mapping functionality and a great place to make experimental visuals with lots of complex functions. Free to download but the unpaid version is watermarked.

Processing – A java based open source software that allows all sorts of possibilities for creative coding and making visuals. Let’s you build code with all sorts of inputs and outputs the way you want it.

Arduino – An open sourced bit of kit based around a mini processor that let’s you design your own circuits and interactive designs. Takes multiple external senors and add ons with the code to run it freely available.
Blender – powerful open source 3d design tool

Unreal Engine – A virtual games engine that is increasingly be used for all sorts of design approaches and creating real world environments – loads of free environment packs and model integrate into it using the megascans and quixel bridge.
